Just installed the Hero XI with my i7 8700K @5Ghz, had to use LLc7 to get Vcore at the Hero X settings. Using Bios 0602. VRM temps on Realbench running at 40c.
Can't justify the i9, so my i7 8700K...

I had that same error and it was caused by my graphics card, had to RMA it. Have you got another card you can try? Also did you completely remove the cards driver before reinstalling.

Windows KB410037 has the old microcode of 84. The latest code for the i7 8700K is 96. This is KB4346084 available from Windows catalogue.

It's a text file you have to print it out so when you are in the bios you manually edit the settings and apply what the previous bios settings were.

Save as a Text file. You cannot use a backup cmo file.

Done a quick run of cinebench , just dropped a couple of marks , down from 1658 to 1656.
