You can try with G.SKILL. They have their own QVL. For example - https://www.gskill.com/product/165/166/1571734171/F4-3200C16Q2-256GVK-Overview

HX430C15PB3K8/128 should work without any problem too. If You are not OCing, there is no difference between 4 and 8 sticks for You.

The answer is simple. If You don't need 128GB, take 4x 16 - 4 banks filled = less stress for Integrated memory controller and very likely better OC if You will decide to push them a little higher in...

If i was You I would disconnect all HDDs. The fact, that your HDDs are 98 to 100% health doesn't mean, that they are fully ok.
