Just checked my BIOS and it looks like there was a BIOS update as well. It mentions Windows 11, I wonder what BIOS changes were needed for 11?

I have the same motherboard :)

On X299 it is common to have memory require manual timing tweaking to get things stable.

My X299 board does not like direct XMP timing either.

If you are using U.2 drives you can use the V1 or V2 without issue as the drives are powered...

Keep in mind that Intel has been terrible about conflicting information but my understanding is that having a key lets you use any supported drives, not just Intel ones.

I do but its 4X Optane. I made sure to use a CPU slot that was capable of 4x4x4x4 and set that slot to Hyper 16x.
