I have updated to Firmeare v034 now, and it´s still NOT fixed. Local Dimming is just not really working.
Sad, that Asus is not able, to fix it about a year after release!

I just want to find out, if there are other users, which have the same problems.
On Asus PG32UQ, the Local Dimming Feature seams to not work in over 90% of the time, so that it looks to bright.

That is, because local dimming feature is mostly off, it don't work correctly in games. See my pictures from Resident Evil Village. You can just look it yourself.

I downgraded now to v023, but still local dimming don't work.
It must be broken earlier, my initial firmware was something like v15, local dimming just works fine there.

It's confirmed now, that Local Dimming is broken with v024.
Solution: Rollback to v023. I will do this tomorow, support want to send me the v023 firmware.

Local Dimming with HDR and v024 don't work correctly with mine. It is more or less permanentely off.

Firmware seems to be back online since yesterday. Have you upgraded?

HDMI 2.1 only support 4K up to 120 HZ, so 144 HZ with 4K are only possible with DP1.4 and DSC enabled.

And 12 bit is not possible as I know. 8 bit is SDR, 10 bit is HDR.

I think it was v015. Had to update anyway, because Bios didn't recognize PG32 correctly if you use hdmi for a second device. (TV)
So ignoring the update is not possible. Further, had some problems...
