I had no issue with my 905p NVMe M.2 in the DIMM_1 slot with the secure erase feature on my R6EO. Don't know the issue with the R6EE.

No. Secure erase function still doesn’t see the drive under 0401. There was no issue with the R6EO.

The drive is recognized otherwise. I see it on the boot screen under DIMM.2_1 and under advanced/NVMe devices. Just not in the secure erase feature.

Just installed the DIMM.2 with a single Intel 905p in the _1 slot, but the secure erase feature does not find the drive. The drive shows up in the bios otherwise. I don't think a partition is...

Yes. As I stated earlier, the connection to that 6 pin was effortless. There was no resistance at all. Seems to be working fine. Thanks.

I haven't put mine through any testing yet. Awaiting cascade lake. I put a 9800X in it to get it up and running.

That’s the confusing thing. Right now I have both 8 pins installed and the 6 pin. The way it’s worded makes it unclear. Thanks.

BTW Ultra, can you confirm that’s essentially a PCIe 6 pin connection at the top right even though it’s labeled differently in the manual? The pins are a little different.

Yes. That’s what mine looks like as well. Only 2 screws holding the fans in place.

I checked advanced/onboard device configuration and I don’t see where to disable m.2 drives. Is there another place in the bios to check?

Looks like the specs are identical for the cpu and PCIe cables.

Just looked a little closer. The pin out is not exactly the same. Not sure which cable to use. Only have 2 cpu 8 pin which are being used. The manual is confusing.

Is that a 6 pin PCIe connector at the top right of the board? Near to the 2 8-pin CPU power connectors. I can't tell for sure.
