I suspect this is a BIOS issue.

I have almost the same ram (I have 2 x 32GB DIMMs: BL2K32G36C16U4BL) tied to a Asus Crosshair VIII Impact. Never had any issues running it until BIOS 3601 (your...

Keep in mind that mixing DIMMs often causes problems for most users. This is why most manufacturers recommend you only use matched RAM. Also keep in mind that some manufactures use different dies in...

I'm confused by your post. If you look above, you responded to my post initially telling me that I could not load a profile from a previous BIOS, when I never even mentioned doing such a thing.

It might be worth opening up a support ticket directly with AMD, as a few weeks ago they were looking for people like you to work on fixes for these issues.

I don’t think I’ve ever suggested I’ve loaded an old profile - in fact just to confirm for all reading this, I have not. I do go through the slow process of setting everything up from scratch....

the memory is not the issue. It’s the voltage this board sets with my memory. Never had any problems except with this BIOS build.

When you use auto, it ‘manually’ sets the target voltage in the voltage field, but if you look at current value to the left of the field, it shows the low value I refer to. To be clear, I’ve...

Please please please fix the DRAM voltages for this 3601 release. I cannot get the board to actually set the correct target DRAM voltage with this new release which causes my board to not post.

With my memory, this release is a disaster as it won't set the correct voltage no matter would number you put in the field. Seems to only support 1.22V max at this stage rather than the 1.35V target...

Might be the worst release ever. In my case, despite a 1.35V target voltage for RAM for DOCP/XMP, this bios keeps voltage around 1.22V making it impossible to get the board to post if you enable DOCP...

I have a feeling this issue was introduced with 3501. Today I tried the beta bios from overclockers.net and I cannot get my machine to boot using DOCP, so it looks like this bios is pretty awful....

Looking further at this forum, seems the current BIOS might have a broken power plan based on a link to an overclockers forum:

I'm still having same very weird WHEA and page fault errors which come randomly every few days, so I don't think all the VRM optimisation is done.

    1. Have you tried using an alternative low end GPU temporarily to see if not using your 2080 TI is causing some sort of strange issue?

MemTest86 is still the 'gold standard'. I would be wary of any Windows based tools as they won't have full unrestricted access to the memory. Added to this, BIOS issues are more pronounced in Windows...

I had my first WHEA last night in ages, so agree that perhaps this is not as good as I first thought.

I should note that I am running DOCP/XMP with 3600 RAM so my FCLK is auto set to 1800 fabric.

yes, auto is correct for DOCP. The only thing to touch is the FCLK setting if you want to hit the 1:1 fabric/memory nirvana. The rest should be left unless you want to overclock your memory.

As an FYI, it is worth checking out the overclockers UK forum if you get a moment. Lots of people there who are aware of all of these issues trying out various different bios options to solve.
