Their G751jys are priced lower than alot of the sellers out there...

My advice is to wait. Rumor is, ASUS is about to release some new G series with the new 970M/980M cards.

I currently have the G74SX (a very old model of the G series) that I purchased back in 2011/2012. I'm thinking about upgrading to the newer model -probably the G750JZ, since it has the best Gfx card...

I just downloaded the beta drivers and surprisingly, I have no horizontal lines...seems to be fixed for me. Did you do a clean install of the drivers when you were installing?

Maybe because they're beta? I don't know, I haven't tried them. Either way, I submitted a new ticket requesting an update on the status. They're good with replying quickly, so I'll post the response...

Positive. These are nvidia's newest beta drivers - and, they're for both desktop and mobile gpus. Look here
