If your system is stable for what you need it to do then all good...it's stable. Stress tests are only usefull in providing a a kind of top end...

V core is pretty much 1 to 1 for your OC these days. Of course general system stability helps...with SA and IO volts being key for RAM. But it is pretty much Vcore that gives you 100 mhz increase......

Well....I've not had a play on a GB board recently....not sure what their llc settings are like...I guess you'd just have to experiment carefully raising vcore or lowering llc.

Are you setting manual voltage...or adaptive? And what power plan settings...
Any avx offset....latest Realbench and prime run avx and will pull a lot to run at high ghz.

These CPUs are very Vcore dependent yes.

They also have their own algorithms for running depending on conditions.

That's all core stability so you may run less for individual core OCs.

I've used CPUz and HWiNFO...for software readings...for what they are worth. RealBench is a good whole system stress test....

From what I've seen of these CPUs...real stability at 5.2GHz takes more than 1.3v on average.

BIOS chips do die sometimes.

Get a replacement...BIOS24 is a good place to go

I cant remember exactly...but its called "global c states" and its in one of the "common options" parts of bios advanced tab....

In any case...I would reflash the BIOS...BIOS flashback method.obviously with a fresh download of the latest version.

At defaults at that kind of normal room temp the temp should be a stable 30 degrees or close at desktop idle.

35 seems a touch too hot to me...but depends on ambient...what is room temp?

5.1 at 1.35 is pretty typical...good cooling and a bit of luck will get 5.2...maybe up to 1.38v...

For Haswell E I'd try the last of the 2XXX BIOSes

You can try to set DOCP profile in BIOS..

However 3600 is pushing it for a lot of ryzen memory controlers so you may need to tweak dram voltage and/or soc voltage.

Or try 3200 and tighten...

If you want to see timings in OS use memtweakit...or ASRock do a similar program...

I would go for the Maximus XI Extreme as the premium build option for the 9900KS....top of the line...as you are used to that level of features...quality etc.

The ideal is to always have more memory available than is being used by your applications...so I'm happy to say that looks OK...you don't want to be in a situation where you are pushing the limits of...
