It should work when installed without changes to BOIS. you might want to disable CSM before installing windows though to force BOIS control over drivers.

It sounds like you have the M.2 setup to work as SATA hence why you are missing 2 Sata ports.

If cloning there is a chance of your M.2 to be misaligned and hence have slower performance than expected.

I re installed windows 2 days ago now and the problem is yet to return. I have updated windows with all updates. Those updates were not installed as a part of the reinstall process.

Not been game to yet. been progressively re installing everything else checking after each new install.
