I never experienced that the G20AJ wouldn't boot after upgrade, but i think i removed all nvidia drivers before i did the upgrade.
But, i still have the same issue with mouse/keyboard can't...

I have a problem with boot on a G20AJ with 2x16GB modules from Crucial.

As default my computer had 2x8GB from Samsung.
Both Crucial and Samsung modules has the same specs.

The stock specs was i7-4790, 16gb ram, GTX 980, 2TB HDD.

Also used GTX 1080 on my system for over 1.5 years, no problem with that (230W stock)

Just wanted to share with saying that it's still possible to update your G20AJ with newer graphics card, such as a RTX card.

Today i changed my GTX 1080 to RTX 2070 Super, with no problems...

Did it work?

I currently have G20AJ with GTX 1080 FE.
Thinking about to try a RTX 2080 :confused:

Yeah that can have something to do with it..
I have now played games like Fallout 4 with max settings, ran benchmark like FireStrike and even run a stress test like Kombuster MSI with no bad results...

The 980 Ti requires 6-pin + 8-pin power to work.
Strange that your G20 don't have those pins.
Mine has one 6-pin and one 8-pin, like this..

I ran firestrike with 230w, no problem

Do the same here, both at start up and shut down, but not so long as 20 sec, more like 5-6 sec.

I got the new card, installed it without any problems. Ran som test with good results, all on 230w supply...made me question if 330w is necessary..?

Question, my previous 980 had a backplate installed. Is that required?

Well, i can't see how it will fit.

I have now ordered DELL 330-Watt AC Adapter (part: 450-18979) and EVGA GTX 980 Ti SC Ref fan.
