A few days ago, I updated through EZ Flash without any issues so far.
Configured settings, setup XMP and overclocked to my modest summer settings of 4.8 @ 1.25v.

    Everything with my configuration,...

    Hello all.

This morning, I grabbed 1503 from the link on the first page, put the .CAP in my dump drive, and then updated through the EZ Flash within the BIOS.
    Everything updated fine, no...

    Hey there, Palamino.

Your experiences made me give pause for concern, so I went ahead and grabbed Cinebench R15.038, and fired it up to see if I had any of your similar issues.
    Both OpenGL and...

    Hey everyone.

Like a few others here, took the jump and updated my Maximus 8 Hero from the rock-solid stable 2202 to the shiny new 3401 this morning.
So far, my experience has been positive. ...

    So far, so good.

Recently flashed, and so far it appears to be working fine with my setup.

XMP works exactly like it should, unlike the last BIOS release for my system (last version froze on post with QCode 55...

I had the same problem, and used Flashback to go back to 2202.

    It worked perfectly fine.

    Hey there, xator.
Yeah, I had the exact same thing happen... again... with my 2800 Ripjaw V kit. XMP immediately put it in a q-code 41 bootloop, and rolling it back to 1701 had, once again, fixed...

Hey there, Melllita, and thanks for contributing to your experience with recent BIOS XMP issues with us.
Yep, seems like you fall into the certain 2400-2800 kit crowd that affects some people since...

The exact same kit you have.

Since BIOS 1902, I've heard of 2400, 2600, and 2800 Ripjaw V seem to be prone to having the issue.
Higher clocked Tridents (and Ripjaw variants?) appear to work just...

Sadly, this BIOS did not fix my specific problem with XMP that was introduced to my system with BIOS 1902. :(

Good info here. Brand seems to be a non-factor, and it's another 2400 kit affected. Interesting.

Fantastic breakdown of your experience, ondersma80.
Thus far, 3200 and 3000 kits look like they're not experiencing the issue at all (still curious about 2400-2600 kit users out there).

Great feedback, GotKevlar - thanks for letting us know.
Seems 3200 is good to go, and doesn't present any issues with XMP.

Thanks for the feedback. Mine would suddenly loop after a q-code 41 error. MemOK press, or even letting it loop for 4 times caused it to set to 2133 again,...

I had, as always, reverted to defaults before flashing, but perhaps the flash didn't go well, or some other anomaly occurred.
