Generally ME firmware needs to be updated to support new processors. I reckon that the current ME firmware must already have been updated to support for the new SKU then.

I believe it is an Intel processor microcode change. Nothing Asus can do about that if so. Maybe Intel will update the microcode and that weill fix it. Wouldn't hold my breath though - it means...

That EC event is normal - nothing to worry about. I believe I had it with my Z390 Gigabyte MB as well.

It is probably the microcode. I had to increase my core voltage with the newer microcode. 901 has the same microcode as 1003.

Updated from 1002beta to 1003 without incident. Modded the BIOS to roll back MC update. Running regression test on my OC. So far everything looks fine.
