I had the same issue, after my motherboard has been dead, then has been changed in the warranty with another bad motherboard. Plugged in, Not Charging + frames drops in all games. Without AC Charger...

The issue come from the motherboard. I changed the motherboard for two times in the warranty. Now is working fine.
First revision has issues. :(

Working fine with the battery connected only. There are no FRAMES DROPS in games if the laptop stay connected with the battery only.
If the AC Power charger is connected, all games get FRAMES DROPS...
