I have an odd issue with this pair of hardware.
- BIOS detect my NVME SSD on boot devices (it's good).
- When I try to install Windows 10 Pro from scratch, it shows me my 960 EVO in list of disks
BUT, I can't install windows in there. when I select the ssd drive, it says that windows cannot be installed there because the device may not boot up.
I recall, that on earlier BIOS I installed win10 with no issues, curently i'm on las BIOS (3703), and I still can't install windows on my evo 960.
Is there any config on BIOS or some driver to browse on disk list at installing windows?
BTW, I allways install windows on non UEFI system, but I installed once that way, on an OLDER BIOS.
PS: I have my own solution to bypass this issue, but it's not so normal.
1- I install windows in a SATA device, then with WinImage I capture the fresh installation on a file (without Drivers nor programs installed).
2- Then I restore that image to the well readed NVME SSD 960 EVO.
3- Then I disconnect the sata drive and tell the BIOS to boot from 960 EVO.
It's so dirty, but works.
Any clue?
