I have a pg279q and I've noticed that on white backrounds/webpages, the top 1/3 of the screen will be slightly dimmer than the rest of the screen? Is this an issue with the monitor? I got a refurb from Newegg.

    Hi Cosmicboxer,

can you provide a screenshot of some kind, so people can see your issue?
This will help sorting out things.

"The screen was darker along the top edge for some reason, where luminance dropped down by 29% to 93 cd/m2 in the most extreme cases."

EDIT: I am pretty sure they use 120 cd/m2 for calibration at tftcentral, so a drop to 93 and you would notice the difference.
