Did you mean:

P-State OC

EDIT: 1920X and 1900X P-State OC does not work across multiple motherboard vendors and multiple BIOSes so it's an AMD thing that they SHOULD be working on. I'm waiting to hear back from them.

Does the P stand for P'd off?

Vid you do this Arne? Did you fid that Arne?

Yes I fidding did!

*breathes*

So...4.1GHz will run at 1.325v

From what I understand.

OC Mode to customized

I enter A4 in FID...don't touch VID or DID... and set appropriate offset to get my voltage WRT VID

Done...bish bash bosh...

CPU downclocks but voltage does not!

Power plan tried: performance... edited for min processor state...tried AMD balanced

I'm missing something...or BIOS 0902 is squiffy?

Anyone got P-State OC on 0902?

P.S. also disabled core boost

also enabled global c state control...also left that on auto

EDIT:

Simple offset overclock (not P-state) does not downvolt...is that a bug?

Voltage should drop chap, post a HWINFO screenie, showing:-

  • VID
  • CPU Core Voltage (SVI2 TFN)
  • VCORE under ASUS ROG Zenith Extreme heading

VID change does work in PState section as well, so leave CPU voltage control all on [Auto] on Extreme Tweaker page.

And are you on AMD Balanced power plan? as that can also cause monitoring to be skew iff 😉 .

Setting
71711

F10
71712

Downclock...no downvolt
71713

I'm on Performance power plan with min processor speed 10% (tried 20%)

I have tried AMD balanced but same result

Also simple offset results in no downvolting...it shouldn't do that right?

I'm about to try BIOS 0019

Strange, I have used older UEFI/AGESA and had down volting/clocking.

Try OS Balanced, min CPU 5%.

When on Tool page, ASUS Overclocking Profile, Load/Save to USB, press [CTRL+F2] to dump UEFI settings as txt. This captures all settings except AMD PBS/CBS.

For me UEFI 0019 been sweet.

Well I just changed to 0019 and same result so far...will try your suggestions but prob tomorrow now...only so much testing I can do in one day 😮

High Performance with min CPU 20% on PState 0 OC with say running AMD ReLive to do screen capture will not down volt but down clock. If I use FastStone capture it will. So check if you have something running in the background which isn't really loading CPU it could keep it from down volting when on HP.

Balanced and my own custom plan based on balanced will down volt/clock when AMD ReLive or Faststone capture used.

PState 0 OC with VID

AMD ReLive video.
FastStone Capture video.

PState 0 OC with offset and stock VID

AMD ReLive video.
FastStone Capture video.

That on BIOS 0019?

Scratching my head here...F5 defaults only thing changed is P-State settings and core boost disabled....no voltage drop

With stock settings all power plans drop voltage as well as clocks

Yep UEFI 0019. Dunno what to suggest  .

I don't even change Global C-State Control from [Auto] to [Enabled]. If I did [F5] and then only changed P-State and CPB: [Disabled] I have down volt/clocking.
