New Skylake X official Microcode 020000243 debut address Spectre and Meltdown arrived

According to Intel Corp latest release security microcode update for all platfroms. Our Skylake X SKU had 02000043 Microcode that official address performance hit and protected againts Spectre and Meltdown already. Hope ASUS deploying this microcode to next UEFI BIOS Update soon.

I see Intel's emphasis is on parts deployed to enterprise and business platforms.
Not so much on mere HEDT workstations and lowly consumer/gaming platforms.

But if Intel is working all the way down to 6th Gen then there's still hope. Too much vulnerable "mainstream" stuff out there to be ignored.

Looks like no joy from Intel for anything which predates 14nm Skylake.
22nm Z97/LGA1150 and older is all outta luck.
22nm/14nm X99/C610/LGA2011-3 is borderline, I think Intel should patch these parts because they're still DDR4-native, still Xeon-compatible, still "modern" and powerful enough to be practical. But my bias does not influence Intel's decisions, lol.

Keep cool buddy they're fixing since Core 2 Duo to Cannonlake . We must waiting.

Core 2 Quad Penryn are planning.

Tested bios 1102 with new microcode (Modded) for R6E, and it's better than the old microcode

The big difference is always on the performance of the discs (better with the 1004)

In bios 1102, the SATA Option ROM (RSTe) being updated compared to 1004, I wanted to check if the performance on the storage was due microcode or this ROM
And it will be because of the microcode

A bit of a mixed bag on the before/after benchmarks, although I wouldn't read too much into SSD performance metrics because that sort run-to-run of variability is always typical, you'd need to do many benchmark runs on many different SSDs and many different Intel platforms to make a conclusion based on consistent performance comparisons.

But I'm guessing the new microcode not only imposes a minor performance hits with the vulnerability fix but it also adds minor performance increases with Intel's latest batch of optimized improvements and revisions. Nobody seems to know (or be willing to say) whether the Spectre/Meltdown fix is implemented as a correction to originally buggy/flawed code or as a workaround imposed on top of bug-free (but vulnerable) code.
