So what, I guess this may be some great technology in the future but currently I don't know anyone that uses a Phone connection for internet, we gave that up quite a few years ago. These Gaming notebooks are way to big to be carrying around anywhere that we don't have WiFi or LAN connections? What would be the purpose? I guess you might want to use something like this a small tablet I just don't see many full notebook users interested. But then I laughed at the thought anyone could sell a bottle of Free water at a higher price than gasoline.

5G will be super fast that all laptops today will become outdated once it launched.

Here in the US carriers charge a lot for data and even if you have an "unlimited" plan they will slow your connection if you download a lot. That's not going to replace a good fixed connection for a gaming PC.
You are posting in a gaming laptop forum. Maybe if you were talking in general about people who just need light web browsing or doing presentations for work you might be right.* Support disease research with Folding@Home *

"5G" hardware in a mobile device will be useless, and I doubt it would ever be available or installed in any mobile devices before the mobile operators actually deploy "5G"-capable wireless networks.
Europe (and the UK) might start deploying "5G" in a few years but the USA is at least half a decade behind in terms of actual wireless infrastructure - they still haven't even got "100%" 3G/HSPA+ coverage, let alone full 4G/LTE or LTE+ technologies - and here in Canada we're kept under mobile data shackles by a Big Three oligopoly which is in no hurry at all to spend money upgrading anything.
5G Laptops are all pretty but in practice there's just no 5G networks anywhere that they can use."All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated and well supported in logic and argument than others." - Douglas Adams

Well if I live long enough for 5G to implement I don't think I'll give up my Gaming notebook over any wireless connection the near 1gb wireless we have now is quite sufficient I could get along with N rated wireless 300 mbs no problem. I use the wireless on my smartphone where ever possible so. 3G hasn't really been implemented here in the states yet so I would expect 5G will be that impressive or widely implemented anytime soon at least here in the states.

jamreal, you may maintain *one* thread per topic. Please stop creating new threads. If there are any more I will have to delete them. Thank you.
