Need More Granular Control Over Fan Profiles

Just set up a new system with TR 1950X and Zenith Extreme, latest BIOS version. I have all fan profiles set to the minimum that the BIOS fan profile will allow and it still sounds like a vacuum cleaner. Some of the PVM profiles won't let me go below 50% speed, which is nuts. Tried Silent and Manual modes with no improvement. The lines cannot be dragged down below a given level.

My TR idles at ~35C with an Enermax 360 AIO. I've physically unplugged the case fans and run with just the AIO active with little effect on that temp. There's no reason why the fans cannot be set lower.

Please give us control to set fans to 0 where needed.

Via the manual options I have 20% min PWM, I don't use Q-Fan tuning. To stop sporadic fan pulse use the the fan smoothing option. As CPU sensor can "bounce" erratically at times, causing fans to speed up unnecessarily. Threadripper has 40 on die sensors, some rotating is going on and highest value displayed. This is the reason behind jumps in CPU temps.

its not the sensors the fan controller on this board is crap every new flash will give you a new min power % - there currently is no fix .. its been like this since release

For me every UEFI since launch til now has allowed min fan % of 20. As stated I don't use Q-Fan tuning, I also don't use AURA/Ai Suite. All I do is go into UEFI Monitor page and select Q-Fan Configuration and manually set each and every header as either a custom profile or disabled if not in use.

If I plug 1 fan into each header (same fans) and boot into a fresh uefi go to fan curves manual each fan header will have a different power % min allowed. ie .. one will be 20 another will be 30 another could be stuck as high as 60. Been complaining about this since the release of this board and send it bug reports with no fix. DC is the only setting to allow 0% but after that 0% the screwed up min power still applies so it will go from 0 to 40 or 30 or 60 etc.. depending on what the uefi gives the header

Maybe they should recall all the boards bought after a certain date .. maybe they fixed something and just hopped the small amount of people who first ordered the board wouldn't notice

Then Asus has bad programmers or a Quality control issue that there not owning up too ..
