My Aura just stopped working. When I can get the application to start it shows only LED strip and GFX card but not motherboard and memory, changing the settings do nothing.

Upon investigation I believe it's because "atkexComSvc.exe / AXSP / ASUS Com Service" crashes every time Windows starts or even if I manually try to start it. In the event viewer it looks like:

Tried going back to the previous Lighting_Control_1.05.32.02 version for my Z370-E motherboard but same thing. Reinstalling this version. Trying to manually start the 4 different versions of AXSP I had in C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\AXSP\ all resulted in the same thing.

I then tried completely uninstalling Aura and concentrating on getting AXSP / atkexComSvc.exe to work which is where I'm at now. Have ruled out other software as the issue by seeing it happens after a safe boot and a clean boot. Harddrive reports no errors, Windows 10 Pro 64bit is fine and reports no errors using sfc /scannow.

Try to uninstall once more.
Reboot.
Delete the folder axps folder. If you can't, then kill the service (but it shouldn't be running as it crashes) and try again.

Now IMPORTANT run ccleaner and perform a registry cleaning to get ride of all old asus entries related to aura and that service in particular.

Reboot and try to install Aura once more to see if the service can be reinstalled fresh.

same problem here six months now....i cant see motherboard in UI in aura inside...i have graphics card ram and led strip...no motherboard and my motherboard light its open it just random the colours

Same as above for a potential fix.
I had this issue after attempting a bad clean (removing manually axps and io folder from Asus folder without performing a registry cleaning).
Not saying that it will solves your problem though.

same issue and no fix yet can only change colour and everything on my gpu my motherboad dont detected yet and i make it all of the solutions but nothing

Aura sucks so bad compared to other RGB software .. Prime Pro X370 with Team Group Delta RGB Ram .. you cant even control Ram independent from the Motherboard they have to be linked !.. that is so lame dudes..

tho nothing better can be said about Team Group either.. these freakin idiots provide RGB software called Blitz.. but it's just Asus Aura 'rebranded'.. you would think Blitz would give control over the Ram modules independently.. but it doesn't..

also on every boot up, my display flickers on/off 3 times as Aura loads..freaks me out everytime

Dear Guys, when you put some RGB to your motherboard, please do make sure you freaking support it!

My motherboard's RGB lighting is useless as F! 'coz your freaking AURA software couldn't even see it!

Same here. Deinstalled the old one. Installed the new one and than:
- Mainboard LED does this damn rainbow stuff
- LED Strip and CPU LED does this damn rainbow stuff
- Tridentz RAM LEDs did it as well

Starting the tool the first time after Installation, just the RAM is configureable.
The rest of the LEDs are still destroying the Casemod. Thx for that!

I think its not necessary to say, that after the first start this ... tool isn't able to start anymore. Dr. Dump comes up as usual.

Will it help to raise a ticket at Asus? Is there an Option to configure simple light effects like static blue?
This tool is wasteing my time and destroys the whole optic.
Someone who has experience with MSI Lightning?

Needless to say that I tried a lot of stuff in the old Versions. And the funniest thing is, it worked for 3 Month and no lightning Software has been installed in the meantime.
