Everything, with the exception of the PSU, GPU and OS, are brand new as of... about a week ago?
Now I seem to be having some... confusion(?) about my USB ports. I have a USB Bluetooth dongle that I use for headsets right. Well everything was all fine and dandy until probably 2 days ago I starting having connectivity issues. Tried installing the driver for my dongle, nothing. Tried updating the Bluetooth drivers. Windows says they are all up to date, nothing to see here. Then after some other fidgeting with the Bluetooth settings I get an error saying to insert my USB Bluetooth Device into a USB 2.0 cause it's old and doesn't work in a 3.0. Honey, friend, brother... it was working just a few hours ago! In this same port no less! It's plugged into one of the black USB ports with the plain USB symbol not the SS or SS10. I was pretty darn sure the two black ones were the 2.0s. Now it works intermittently after reboot only to give me the same error after some time passes.
So... am I crazy or is the dongle crazy? Do I even HAVE USB 2.0 slots??? Cause I found some conflicting evidence wail searching for a solution to suggest that maybe all my Ports are 3.0 and 3.1 because of the processor I chose?
I AM getting a PCIe Wifi/Bluetooth combo board on Monday which should just bypass this whole issue but it would still be good to know if I even have USB 2.0 slots for future reference. >.>
I do also have a USB input with two slots from the front panel of an OLD computer I am more than certain would be 2.0 I could hook up to the mobo. Problem with them is they are in a housing that wouldn't fit into my case so I'd have to figure that out. *shrugs*
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
