Intel Core i9-7980XE Processors worth the upgrade?

Is the Intel Core i9-7980XE Processors worth the upgrade from a 1950x? Those 2 extra cores and 4 threads for an extra $1000+...?

whats your point anyway, you can't put a intel cpu on a amd cpu motherboard.

but the choice is your, just like you can buy a toilet made of gold, after that you are the one spending the money and knowing if its something that you really need, from my experience anyway i didnt see a software that could use that many core correctly, after effect is slow, what could help to test its if some other people where willing to try to render the same compo to check if there is a difference or not

It's worth if you have money.
Not because 2 cores more, it's more important satisfaction with OC and fastest single threaded performance because higher frequency.
i9-7980XE 18 cores OC to 4.5GHz are best enthusiasts processor.

It's important to drain more performance and avoid degradation because high clock.
I can't say I don't like AMD but when you used on something for people as me is hard to completely change course.
But instead i9-7980XE even last 2000 in pocket I would spent on i9-7900X, Rampage VI Extreme in GTX1080.

Look on this way, overclocking i9-7980XE 500-600MHz compare to 1950X who is stable maybe 100MHz over Turbo make nice difference in every day use.
    18 cores + 500-600-700MHz.
It's easier to say Why people use i7-5960X when Ryzen 1800X is little better.
And they tested out of box. And avoid debate that Ryzen 1800X owners will OC 100-200MHz, but i7-5960X owners 1500MHz OC.
1000$ is a lot of money, that's Zenith Extreme + 1900X. But anyway is not for people who need to check how much spend on hardware.
