one fan always spinning on idle on 980ti matrix

is it normal one of the fans to spin on idle on the asus 980ti matrix ?
is there a vbios update ?
also i am confused is there 2 different models of it matrix and platinum?

my base core clock is 1000mhz ???

Hi mite_jan, do your fan spin normally under load? Or this behaviour is registered under load as well?

As far as I know for the 980 Ti from Asus there are 3 versions: Strix, Poseidon and Matrix Platinum.

that is correct but from the matrix series should be one only matrix and matrix platinum i think

under load is fine second fan activates
just i want to disable that one fan when idling no need to be working

You can try use GPU Tweak II to set your own Fan curve

i dont want to set a custom curve
very strange the card waits to reach around 75 degrees and than activates the second fan
that is too high for my liking

You can always set a more aggresive fan curve.

That's the same as a custom fan curve.
