Thumbs up GL702ZC DDR4 Frequency. When will we get XMP?

Just tried replacing the stock Samsung single 16Gb 2400Mhz with 16Gb G-Skill 3000MHz and guess what?

The memory runs at 2133MHz with no way of adjusting it!

Seeing as memory speed is crucial to the operation of the Ryzen Infinity Fabric what is the point of releasing a Ryzen system and crippling it with this ridiculous limitation?

Beginning to think that ASUS are losing the plot.

Please someone tell me that they've heard that a BIOS update is due to remedy this?

My RAM is running on 2400 MhZ in dual channel.
But I'm also running BIOS 303.
Check the support page of GL720ZC and download the latest bios (if you hadn't already)

    Thumbs up

Looks like the BIOS updates have stopped for this already.

A serious let down and very poor form from ASUS.

In my 20+ years of building PCs and buying laptops I have always sought out ASUS products for quality and innovation.

Not any more. That was the last ASUS product I will ever buy!
