GL702ZC RX580m 4GB lite GPU overclock possible?

MSI Afterburner It is not possible to change the frequency of gpu;(
When the option is activated: expand the limits of the official overclocking, after that I can overclock the memory only ...
Has anyone been able to do this?

I don't think MSI afterburner allows increasing the frequency on our Rx 580 in the GL702ZC.
What I found more useful was to UNDERVOLT the GPU.
I set the core voltage to -93mV and temperatures dropped by 10 degrees Celsisus.

I'd also prefer to have the option to undervolt the GPU memory as well... but alas...

to overclocking GPU, you need to edit the BIOS, after that, the GPU stably works on the frequency(1350) of the desktop version, the temperature hardly changes:)

Except the fact one needs to find proper bios editing tools for Windows (for example) and then properly flash the thing in order to avoid bricking the laptop in the first place.
As for temperatures not changing at a 20% increase in clocks... well, if the voltage remains the same, then probably, but to be honest, at stock 1077 MhZ boost, the mobile RX 580 is only 10% slower than the desktop version while consuming much less power... plus, undervolting the thing is preferable as Asus didn't exactly make exemplary cooling in GL702ZC, and you run the risk of GPU failure because the system can't handle it.

these tools are polaris bios editor and ATIWinflash 🙂

the temperature rises no more than 4 degrees:)

hi! I newly bought asus rog gl702zc.I want to do overclock my GPU please help me :)I am using amd computer first time.

Thanks !

I am new to the ROG arena how do I benefit to that?without damaging my pc?I cannot afford to replace it....is it safe?

Hi guys, so i got a modded bios, to 1288 core clock, but the video card goes only to 1077 Mhz core clock, https://ibb.co/ggJVce, ill do some research, the power drawn from the wall its about 160 W. with the cpu OC.

Update: so AMD or some vendors added bios check that's why the video card doesn't go at 1288 Mhz, the drivers limit the speed, so we need to edit the kernel of the driver, even if we mod the bios ( lets say the gpu core clock @ 1288 and the memory @ 2100 Mhz ) you can't install the driver, it will give you and error, so the next thing will be to max the TDP to lets say 90W, but i'll try more stuff after repaste so there is no problem with the hardware. Note: im not an expert i might be wrong, but after i mod the bios i cant install the drivers.

this is not true, there are no frequency limitations in the driver, you only need to update the BIOS( https://drive.google.com/file/d/1owdiEA8M-YipyegcinRpFfV4IBkk7qpT/view?usp=sharing ) and reinstall the driver.
I currently have Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.2.1 and the core frequency is up to 1350!

is it possible for error to happen during this process?what is the margin for error in percentage?people do not research and conclude the margin for error and the percentage chance of it occuring before they attempt the change.
what would be the % of failure and corruption and damage?
