AURA RGB headers VS Addressable RGB headers

This may be a stupid question, but other than the pinout, and voltage differences, what is the effective difference between the 12V RGB headers and the 5V Addressable RGB header
(i.e. are they both controllable within AURA software, and if so, what is the differences in control if any)?

Thanks in advance for the help!

The old 12v allows only one color at a time. The new 5v addressable allows each led to have one specific color so you can for example have a rainbow pattern on a led strip while with the 12v all leds would have the same color.

Both are controlable in Aura.

Just note even if it is obvious that they share the same connector but are not compatible in a way or the other.

Thanks Namoi,

That clears it up!
