    Can someone test 1301 vs 1004 to see what the loss in performance is?

    In crystal/assd?

    With the 7940X, I had ~ 19sec for boot and ~ 16sec for reboot
    Since the 7980XE, I have 19 and 23sec

    I did not know if it was related to a bios option or the CPU
    This is the window with the ROG logo (where we can press Suppr ou F2 to enter the bios) which is longer than before
    But there must be an option in the bios (which is in AUTO) to accelerate the boot, very rarely, I have 13 sec

    Feel free Master tistou 77 , Just a Boot time not matter. Enjoy 7980XE big leap performance.

    First I want 2TB Samsung 960Pro for my rig. However it was out of stock when I purchased.
    My local shop had only 600p 1TB. But when use the 600p 1TB I still love it price/performance a lot.

    Hi,

    Did the 1301 bios fix the TBT 3 add in card (asus thunderbolt ex 3 or gigabyte alpine ridge tbt3) in game lag, core 2 100% utilisation and performance drop under window when TBT 3 is activate and cpu ratio change (every mode and value)?

    The new 1301 patches everything but as before it kills SSD/m.2 speeds by 25%. it is better on CPU intensive workloads, only losing 5-7%.

    I am putting together my build (FINALLY) this weekend so which BIOS could we use if we want to avoid this performance penalty? 1201?
    Can the patches be disabled?

    1301 faster than 1004 for me on SSD sequential read, and faster on Cinebench so I'm sticking with it.

    Did anybody try to patch 1301 with the 2B microcode (the one from 1004)? (Yes I am very new here, one has to start somehow :-))
