anyone managed to get the RGB keyboard lighting to work? installed ROG aura but other than changing the brightness, nothing else works

If you clean installed.

Install ATK packages,
Install ROG gaming center,
Install ROG aura

all software must be correct version for GX501. Obviously can get from support page.
