STRIX - GTX 1080 - 08G - Driver Fails in Game and Fatal Error need (HELP)

Hello everyone, my first post here.

Lately I am getting annoyed with frequent crashes due to the GPU driver stopping work, it recovers itself after a few seconds but the online game is lost.

I also get this notice in a window :

Fatal Error

Creat2DTexture_PC(~&-crly_train_wooden_siding_0~607a1827,1024,1024,11,7) failed:887a005 =
The GPU device instance has been suspended. Use GetDeviceRemoved to determine the appropriate
action. GetDeviceRemovedReason returned DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG


I never had a problem before running this card for over one year, lately I am getting frequent crashes while playing Call Of Duty WWII newer maps.


STRIX - GTX 1080 - 08G
Running OS - Win 8.1 64 Bit
CPU Intel I-7 3970X 3.5 GHZ LGA2011 Unclocked
MB - ASUS P9X79 WS
Memory DDR3 32 GB (4x8 GB)
PS - Thermaltake 1350 W


Any suggestions are welcome !

The only thing I can suggest you is to roll back your graphic driver, since you said that you never had problems before.

If rolling back to the previous driver doesn't work, try and reinstall a fresh copy of Windows.
