CPU temperature and usage on G752VY

I have this G752VY with GTX 980M and 6700HQ for almost a year and a half now, I play a lot of overwatch and games in general, when I play overwatch the CPU and GPU usage seems to be unstable and the temperature of the CPU is around 85 Celsius in game and usage is around 40-60%, does that seems normal or something is wrong with my laptop. It feels different after my laptop went for some fan replacement due to a broken fan.

yes that does seem high for only 40 -60 % usage are your fans kicking in? at 60C my fans would start kicking it at about 3800 RPM over 70C they kick up to 4200 RPM with the latest BIOS version 304 my fans idle around 1400 RPM

I have a similar laptop but don't play that game. Go into Geforce Experience and click on that game, then check your custom settings. You might need to lower performance settings.

My g752vy has the 6820k and 980 8gb its just gone back for a second RMA only 7months if i stuck mine on extreme it would go 100c its why its gone back but only way i could game is fn/pgup that will turn fans on max to turn them off shut laptop down when they are on full all is well and 304 bios also . When i ring custom service they say 85 is hot send it back then letMeRepair saying 75-95 is fine so u could try for a rma or fans on full good looking laptop good spec for the money but QC is total crap will stick to building pcs would never get another gaming laptop after this .

Yea me too I am planning to build a new pc, buying a gaming laptop was not the best decision I've made.

This is true Gaming notebooks are great for working/ playing away from home but they can never compete with a gaming built desktop. there just isn't enough room in them. and no way to dissipate the heat generated by a full blown desktop. The heat sink on my Z97 board is all most as big and heavy as my G752VY What were you thinking.

Just like any other major purchase, there are trade-off we suffer to have portability.
