ROG & Corsair Themed Build
forgive me if this is in the wrong section, but didn't see a space for build advice. i compiling a system idea from using only asus and corsair parts. i am hoping someone in here can tell me if this is a good build layout. with me on full disability its probably going to be sometime between August and December that i can finish it. some face book friends said i should see if ROG will sponsor my build, but i told them i am not in my brother (ChrisRay) league. my brother even beta tested for nvida, you can read about him on my memorial page if you like (http://chrisraymemorial.com/). below are the specks i am thinking of. maybe even a corsair gt 120gb ssd for the os.
all i can feel safe of saving for my new PC is the monitor, case, speakers, and game pad. i am not going to have it over heat again. when i get paid i am buying the corsair link cooling kit. basically its a software based fan controller. so if system gets hot it will ramp up the case fans. the other parts will take longer to get but its better to do it right then make mistakes.

Welcome! Chris was a great guy.
I think I would go with Dominator over Vengeance on the memory. The Vengeance are high density and supposedly tuned more for Sandy Bridge which can make them fiddly on other platforms. Other than that it looks like a great build!* Support disease research with Folding@Home *

X is right the Vengence ram is more for budget. Dominator is where it's at.

I can not remember what models it is, but Corsair does have "link" compatible memory, it plugs right into the top of the chip... Just a thought.

i have been saying this to snickers since before the V was released.
Being patient with Bashers and Flamers while my V screamed.
Love me my Dom'GTs...you all know the
ones not on the QVL. This didnt bother jj or chew while making how-to videos or breaking a world record..
which also got the V the respect it deserved as a ROG board.
I still wonder... less out loud now.. what can the others do that ???
i saw them in jj's video....thats why i own them...then came chew... just saying..
Sorry for your loss. Very nice rig. best of luck.c.
