1080 ti Strix "Non-Aura" smoke after which no led control

So hello first, i was dumb enough to put an rgb strip right into the 1080 ti strix rgb header so it started a smelly smoke after which i immediately turned off the pc. Now i am stuck with green light on the card and in aura sync i have non-aura message. The gpu is under warranty and is performing as usual. Any suggestions what to do?

Sounds like you got either a defective or non compatible LED strip and are now stuck with deciding on living with it or RMA the card if you cannot return it to the retailer

So my best option is to try to give it back to the seller?
