I own Rampage II Extreme motherboard, and I would like to know if there is a reason why I can't choose from what port VGA should be initialised (PCI-e vs. PCI) ?

This board does have both PCI and PCI-e slots, and PCI slot can only be used for video output, if PCI-e slots aren't used by graphics card.
