8700K OC.....on an MSI Z370 M5 (Don't shoot!)

Hey all,

Looking for the right steps to get to 4.8-5.0. I am not really interested in seeing if I won the lottery. I mean, if this thing will go to 5.3 or 5.4 on air I'll just trade one of you guys, lol. There's a point of diminishing return for me, where we're pulling a ton more power for 1-200MHz just isn't really worth it for me. Reading a few other threads, I went ahead and already ran RealBench and will provide the screenshot. I have an ASUS ROG monitor, so hopefully that can get me down from the stake!

This is on air. Let me know what I should be looking at next. I overclocked my 8600k but I just bought this and gave that to my son. I was at 4.9GHz at 1.30 I believe, but my testing methodology and a few other settings may have been missed, leading to either wasted voltages or more wear and tear than was necessary. @Nate152

Hello

That you have an ASUS monitor is great. However, you will need to ask MSI or post at a manufacturer neutral forum for assistance with your motherboard. Thread closed.
