Hi guys I would like to buy the GX501GI but I'm reading conflicting opinions between the GX and the GM version (with 1070).
If I understood correctly, the GM version has something called Nvidia Optimus that optimize the performances when you are not playing so the battery lasts really longer than the 1:30h of GX's battery.
My question is: does only the GM version has this feauture? Is it possible to optimize the battery on the GX?

No. Now the best laptop is GM501, i just tested it out. Don't buy GX series. You dont need GTX1080 M-Q. Only few FPS different, why don't you save more?

Don't aspect much battery from gaming laptop. 55Wh battery only used. The 8th gen 6 core cpu seems to be battery hungry too.

how many hours did it last for standard use without playing?

GM series you can get 2 hours +

GX you may get 1.5 hours

Depends on your settings and application.

With GM, do you get 2 hours with optimus? I mean, Intel Graphics only?

Nvidia optimus on zephyrus GX series?
