Sending in a PG with a scratch 9 months later still possible?

Hello there,

My monitor came when I purchased it with a scratch. After that, I was on a students-exchange for half a year and now I was thinking about whether it is possible to still get it swapped? I've own a lot of Asus products (X99 Deluxe II and Strix 1080 Ti right now for example) and usually don't complain but now that I see it again, I wonder whether my still eligible to have it swapped?

Thanks in advance for all the help on this board.

I think the scratch will be considered CID (customer induced damage), so won't be covered by warranty.

That is likely to be a big fat no. There's no way to tell that the scratch didn't occur in the last 9 months. If ASUS said yes to you, then everyone who broke their monitor would claim it arrived like that.

I'm not saying you're lying but you have to look at it from their view.

Hopefully I'm wrong though.
