That's the exact same e-mail I received from the exact same person in response to my query about the missing VIP forum.

For some reason they don't want to admit to whatever real reason the forum is gone. MSI and Gigabyte still have their forums, so it isn't some industry-wide response to the EU privacy thing.

This is very disappointing. Those forums were very useful for product specific questions and solutions to problems.

It's absurd that they took down the vip forums ! WTH are they thinking ? There are tons of information and very helpful members there.

I have bookmarks for MOBO, GPU etc and frequently visit. I really hope they will restore them

Is it just me or are others unable to access the forums? If it's working, can you post a link that works?

    Thanks.
Hmm.. VIP.asus.com takes me to account.asus.com

Maybe at the time of accessing, their site was in maintenance mode? Or Perhaps, Asus realised users prefer to access Tech Support instead?

FYI, I'm still communicating with Asus support on this. Here's the reply I received yesterday...

I understand that you have been interacting with a previous representative with regarding to your concern but I will continue the interaction onwards and please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience you've had with not being able to access the ASUS VIP forum.

I'd be very interested to hear what the excuse is.

But in any case I'm hoping they put them back up soon.

I would be very interested in what's happened.

Here's a couple of links I have bookmarked and visited daily

    Motherboard

    Router

I have spent a lot of money on Asus hardware and am not amused at this withdrawal of support.
