    Formula IX (Z270) wifi issue

I've recently been forced to use the onboard wireless instead of an ethernet cable to get internet connection, and I've noticed that every 1-2 min the wifi would lose packets with no obvious reason (if I ping any website, it will return with request timed out randomly from 2-6 instances). It doesn't seem to be dropping the connection completely like some posts I've read.
However, this is pretty annoying because it keeps dropping me out of games or I end up freezing for a couple seconds.

I've tested this with the router less than 1m away with no other connected devices. Also, this doesn't happen when I'm connected through a cable and the wifi on my laptop so my only conclusion is something to do with the onboard wireless.
Is anyone else experiencing this/is there a fix?

What frequency are you connecting to 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz?
