ME update is up in Z370-E board.

Do I need to bother updating the chipset if I have the latest BIOS(0616)?

Did some digging on the forums, there's also an ME Update tool provided by ASUS but, sadly, couldn't get my hands on it.
Thanks!

Improve system stability is a very vague description of an update.

Should this come with some ME firmware update as the below motherboard has?

Oh..I don't have that ME update tool in my Mobo's Driver/Utilities download page

Based upon the description from your link:
MEUpdateTool
Intel has identified security issue that could potentially place impacted platform at risk.
Use ME Update tool to update your ME.
*We suggest you update ME Driver to the latest Version 11.11.50.1466 simultaneously.
Please download the file and check the MD5 code first.
MD5: 22bc148e0f7cd8da1e99fb4065c9b327

I hope the other motherboards have this utility also or could this used by others also?
Thanks for the info by the way. I'll check from time to time if there are any updates on my end.

Hmm then again the attached is coming from an older post, probably the X299 chipset required some ME FW update that Z370 already received as part of a previous BIOS update, so i guess its not required..

Have anyone here updated the driver version though?

I think so too...I have read that a BIOS update for Z370 boards would be fine
https://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1034961/

I haven't upgraded yet..seems like I won't be coz everything's working fine. The vulnerabilities were patched from the latest BIOS.
Unless there is a substantial update from the MEI that we're missing out.

Yeah, from the look of things, "If ain't broke, don't fix it."
