I read this forum from page 92 when bios 4602 was released I seems that that bios has a lot of negative comments (unstable, higher temps 7 degree increase in load) but someone mentions that that bios fixed PBO and fan rpm (stuck to 0% or 100%). What about BIOS 4804? There is not a lot of comments of that BIOS becasue 3 weeks came BIOS 5007 (negative comments) but all comments I saw on 4804 seems positive, someone says that is the best BIOS since 4207. So is it safe to update to that BIOS with R5 1600? That should be my final stand BIOS with Ryzen first gen...

As always that is totally up to you.
I won't give any recommendations over 4602 as I have no experience with anything over 4602 except for the current 5204 where it will stay till i get a 3000 series.
    Good Luck.

There is a trick to setting a higher EDC, but I've found that the limit that the CPU will actually hit is about 170. Even with a higher EDC limit I still got better performance with PBO and AutoOC set to auto and performance enhancer set to level III from the main Ai Tweaker menu.

    HI guys,
For all of us that had problem with Bus Clock I managed to create modded version of bios 5220 with fixed Bus Clock to 100Mhz with help of Reous, Knodl, mtrai and The Stilt.

Here is modded 5220 BIOS for Asus X470-F with fixed SB Clock Spread Spectrum (also visible in BIOS) and working bus clock 100Mhz:

Will you be sending out update(fixed) BIOS in future versions? I know in November they are rolling out mass of update fixs for Zen. Doubt Asus will fix bus clock

Yes, why not if @Shamino don't find time to do it himself.

Yes. 2700X on 4804. It's fine. I updated from 4207 to 4804 and the only issue that may or may not be real is that my CPU temp went up. I say may or may not though because I live in the Southeast United States (gets hot/humid) so those temp increases could have been a result of external factors.

Closing thought: If on 4207, stick with 4207. If not, upgrade to 4804 but not beyond.

This is what I was wondering about- is 4207 better or 4804, for the 2700X?

Also, whats the best cpu to upgrade to if I only want to stay with air cooling? I did some builds on Digital Storm, and they wouldn't let me go beyond the 3700X if I stay with air cooling. They also told me I shouldn't get more than 32 GB of memory.

The profile is optimized default + SSC disabled.

    Kudos to Reous and Xploder270

    Edit:
@sexy: if they didn't unhide this setting until now.. I don't have much faith that it will happen in the future

It works! Using the .CMO there's no need for us to flash the modded BIOS.

    Thank you so much!
