So there's a Spread Spectrum disabling Profile on OCNET for the X470-PRO: https://www.overclock.net/forum/11-a...l#post28140058

Does someone here want to try it? I've already reached out to ask about our Board. That would be so sweet!

EDIT: Doesn't work with X470-F. We'll have to wait for someone to create a modded BIOS.

Recently started experiencing an issue where my PC would be powered on but non-responsive. I have to do a full power off via holding the power button. I've checked Windows logs and don't see anything that would cause it. Issue used to happen say every few days but recently upgrade to the most recent BIOS and now its happening at a higher frequency.

Only settings I change in the bios are below:

    PE lvl 2
    Ram DOCP profile set
Change ram speed to 3466 (Stock is 3200)
CPU Voltage manually set to 1.35 (This is stable while gaming)
PBO enabled and scaler is set to auto
    LLC level 3

Believe I was on 4207 or 4406 prior to updating to 5220. Issue still occurred then but not as often. Could it be the voltage setting with the cpu? Would be weird if that is the case as it occurs when the system is idle.

    What a ride...

My System: Windows 1903, 2700x, 32 GB *Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000

    For more details:*https://pcpartpicker.com/user/rediske/saved/jWPZ8d

I updated to BIOS 5022 and had lots of instability, to the point that I couldn’t get to POST, and even sometimes while in POST, the PC locked up. Auto setting would only clock my memory at 2133, and if I manually set it at anything higher than 2800, my mobo would get an amber light, indicating a DRAM failure, I was forced to remove the battery to reset BIOS several times, but ultimately I reverted back to BIOS 5007 and was able to get memory back to 3066.

My question is, has anyone else noticed this and should I upgrade to the July BIOS?
    **
    TLDR details

Ignorance is bliss, I was happy before I saw how nicely*Linux split CPU load while gaming, so I decided to do some tuning for Windows.

I updated my BIOS to 5007, noticed my RAM was at 2133, boosted that to 3066 and*I followed the instructions on: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comment...e_is_limiting/

I saw less thread switching (meaning mostly threads 0-7 doing work while 8-15 only came online as needed, idle otherwise). My games no longer hammered one core.*I felt some performance gains and everything was stable, so I probably should have stopped there instead of getting BIOS 5022.

Ya i updated from 4206 to the 5204
My biggest complaint is my g.skill flare x 3200cl14 not being able to run where it was @3400 fast ryzen dram calculator
    So it's at 3200 fast.
And i oc'd my 2600x to get some of my performance back.
There should have been a warning Do Not update if you Are Not Installing a 3000 series cpu.

I was able to get it

    Hi,

I'm toying with the idea of replacing my existing Corsair RAM into some Corsair Vengence Pro RBG RAM. Slight issue though: everytime I search for a set of RAM I always seem to find ones that are not on the QVL list (link here: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/m...Processors.pdf )

I'm wondering if there's anyone out there with this mobo that's brought some Corsair Vengence RGB Pro Ram, and if it worked? If so, can you please advise me on model number of RAM and BIOS version?

    Hi.

    I have a Strix x470-F Gaming motherboard (BIOS 4207) with a Ryzen 7 2700X, Windows 10 1809, 32GB (4x8GB) RAM Trident Z RGB CL16 to 3200 Mhz using Ryzen RAM Calculator. Everything running smoothly.

I want to know if it is necessary to upgrade to the latest version of the BIOS (5220) or which other version is the most recommended for its stability.

    Thanks.

Personally my thought on your question is
If you are dead set on bios update Dont go over 4602
I was on 4602 then upgraded to 5204 which was a Huge Mistake.
Any version over 4602 is geared for the 3000's

My g.skill flare x 16gb 2x8 3200cl14 was running great at ryzen dram calculator 3400 fast.
Since the bios update I can Only run it at 3200 fast.
The only way for me to get most of my performance back was to Oc my 2600x.

In my opinion there should have been a note or warning statement Do Not Update past 4602 unless you are installing a 3000 series cpu.
So with the ram issue you will risk losing your 3200mhz
Seeing how 4x8 config the mem controller usually defaults to 2933mhz.
Is it worth it ? If it's running smoothly
