I am doing fresh Windows install soon (Asus x470). I know that with ryzen chipset drivers I will get driver for USB 3.1. Do I need to install also Asus Asmedia USB 3.1 Driver? Does this driver cooperate or latest installed driver will take full control of USB 3.1?

The X470-F specs show the two rear red USB ports (USB 3.1 , Gen 2 Type-A (may be different USB spec after recent USB spec changes???)) as being ASMedia controlled. The ASMedia driver is separate from the chipset driver and available through the same page in the support tab > Drivers & Tools:

What BIOS settings would you guys recommend for following:

    Asus X470-F
    Ryzen 2600x
    G.Skill Trident Z RGB LED DDR4 3200MHz 2x8GB (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR)
    Asus GeForce GTX 1070 Dual OC 2xHDMI 2xDP 8GB
    Samsung 970 EVO Plus Series MZ-V7S500BW 500GB

I don't think peripherals are relevant but just in case, there are USB hub (for sharing a keyboard and mouse) and two extern soundcards).
I would recommend 4207 BIOS, Load Optimized default settings in BIOS and install chipset driver pack from AMD site, then run latest chipset driver install from ASUS site (AsusSetup.exe), choose Accept and Install > Downloaded Install on right > Custom Install to display currently installed driver versions without actually installing them again so you can see if they offer any new updates (hover mouse over each driver to show detailed dialog if up to date). My drivers were up to date from AMD's latest chipset. Don't forget ASMedia and Audio drivers. Audio aren't needed if using video car's audio output connected to surround sound receiver or using USB DAC for headphones. Then change to DOCP in BIOS, setup your fan profiles is using motherboard for fan control, run in Performance Enhancer Auto mode with XFR enabled since have 2X00X model chip, run some Cinebench with HWInfo64 and take note of CPU temps and voltage, then try reducing Vcore and Vsoc voltage offset in BIOS starting with -.05 each, rerun Cinebench and see max temps reduced, adjust lower bit by bit to maybe -0.1 each until Cinebench runs crash then bring voltage offsets back to stable Cinebench runs. Also run Memtest to see that RAM isn't giving any errors.

Here's a very recent video for memory overclocking from Buildzoid, using a different manufacturer's board and Intel chip so settings will differ and name (LLC range may also be reversed from ASUS, not sure) but same methodology applies. Also, go back and read this thread from the start as there is LOADS of great info, including from the OP of the thread regarding LLC settings for this board.

Yes, I turned off wake timers to prevent the fan problem when the computer idles, and uninstalled AT Tuner which fixed the black screens, everything seems to be good with 4207. But if I get one of the newer PCIE 4 GPU in the future, wouldn't I need a newer BIOS to make my new GPU run at PCIE 4 speeds, whether I get a 3rd gen Ryzen CPU or not?

Should I update chipset drivers regardless of whether I update the BIOS or not? The only thing I have been updating are my 1060 6 GB GTX video drivers. I have an Audigy RX 7.1 video card and use Creative drivers for that which I got last October when I installed the card.

No that 2 USB controllers are independent each other u need the driver for the Asmedia amd the driver for the AMD because are differente hardware on the same MOBO

Hi there I compile a pack update of the chipset and audio latest AMD and Realtek Drivers for this amazing MOBO, the files are self extract and are to replace the Windows update WHQL, because some of the drivers like AMD SMBus Drivers are WHQL and i see much better performance with the AMD drivers not the Microsoft ones, so this is the list of drivers:

1.425V fixed allcore voltage for 2nd Gen Ryzen will degrade your CPU within a few weeks/months, 1.425V was the safe max for 1st gen but not for 2nd gen, there is a guy on the overclocking discord channel who tested four 2nd gen ryzen cpu's and he found degration within a few weeks using more than 1.38V allcore.

If you want your 2700X to last and not degrade, back down that voltage.

    Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/overclockin...ltages_tested/

He tested each 2700x at a different voltage ranging from 1.375v to 1.425, here are the voltages for each 2700x and their temps at each voltage.

2700x sample 1 - 1.425v, max of 65c while gaming/daily tasks - saw degradation of around 100mhz at the same voltages within 3 months

    2700x sample 2 - 1.4v, max of 60c while gaming/daily tasks - saw degradation in around 3 months and 2 weeks

2700x sample 3 - 1.385v, still around 60c while gaming/daily tasks, saw degradation in just shy of 4 months

    2700x sample 4 - 1.375v, max of 58c - no degredation after just above 6 months now
