You might look into the "ASUS PRIME X470-PRO" thread on OCN regarding that on post #502, I haven't tested it. Reous mentions an ACPI bug affecting sensors. For some reason this forum isn't allowing me to link it. ComboAM4 bios are those released later than yours.

So to update to new BIOS or not?

They talking about ACPI problem on X470-PRO BIOS thread on overclock. Is strix affected?

I have been reading this forum for the past couple of months, and I have seen 4207 come up as the best bios, and recently a few of you have said 4804 seems to be the next best thing. Should I update? TBH the fan issue really bothers me, and maybe this will fix aura settings not persistent too. If I get slightly worse CPU performance, but I can keep my RAM timings I'm okay with that.
For me 4602 solved the fan issue at last. I have my ram setting as dram calculator suggested for fast settings and works just fine.

At first I thought i've downloaded the wrong bios or maybe the X470-F Gaming site contains an error, but I see here you were able to upgrade. Did I miss something?

Uncompress the zip file and try again...Have encounter it many times from 4008 to 4602 updates.

It seems the problem was with my drive (NTSC). I tried with a usb drive FAT32 and it worked. Never happened in the past.
    Thanks anyway for your advice

Given how similar our board is to theirs, running the same BIOS, I'd expect our board to be affected as well.

I've never been able to run monitoring programs on this motherboard successfully without bugs, black screens, etc. Monitoring anything from the "ASUS EC" in HWinfo causes massive issues. This, coupled with the fact that I can't even get the fans in my case to behave properly (Thanks to "smoothing up/down time" in the BIOS just straight up not working), I'm heavily considering going back to Gigabyte on X570. Having problems like this a year after purchasing, on a three year old platform, is inexcusable.

Even with latest BIOS? I thought they solved fan problems, didn`t notice complaint here. I am still on 4024.

    New BIOS 5007 is out
It just says Update new AGESA to improve compatibility

Yeah dude the fan behavior is brutal. Even with a smoothing up/down time of 15 seconds any fan will react immediately to any temperature change. This forces me to make ridiculous fan curves to make sure I don't constantly hear my fans winding up and down.

As for the new update, I'll probably hold off until I grab a Ryzen 3XXX Series CPU. Looks to be 1.0.0.2 ComboPi AGESA from what I'm reading elsewhere on the web. 4804 is pretty solid for me thus far stability wise.
