First of all, thank you all for being so helpful and responsive to my question, really appreciate it!

And then: so we got that long-awaited agesa 1.0.0.4b update. Can anybody find the CPPC Preferred Cores options, huh?
But instead they moved the VDDG voltages to "AMD Overclocking", whatever you do to those voltages there - when you're exiting BIOS (save & exit) it says that it seems like you haven't changed anything, and then in Windows you run Ryzen Master and it shows the same 1+ Volts of the VDDG voltage, when it should be like 700-900 mV.

By the way, our guy Topfn that modified BIOS for us to make the "Spread Spectrum" setting visible - what happened to him? His all posts are gone, his PM doesn't work - did ASUS ban him for modifying their BIOS?

So if I understand right from people that installed the latest bios, there is no performance improvement...
I'll stay with 5220 then, it took me many hours to manually oc my ram from 3200 to 3733 cl15 there is no way I'm doing it all over again if the new bios memory oc is worse than 5220.

There should be no improvement for Zen+, for Zen2 there is. I'm still not getting to 4.6 on my 3900x, but I have much higher clocks on all cores than before with some that never got above 4.2 hitting 4.525 now. In fact, now, all my "good" CCX cores are hitting over 4.5 not just the two top ones. I am getting to 4.575 as well on the good once so closer. My synthetic scores are higher, and CB is now actually sticking with a high single-core clock until it gets "too warm" and switches, like 1usmus was seeing, and staying with the top two cores. Where I wasn't seeing any performance benefit was with 1usmus's power plan over the Ryzen high-performance plan. My RAM OC is fine and stable.

So if you are on Zen2, I recommend you do update your bios and drivers. If you are on Zen or Zen+ there isn't a need to.

Im on ryzen 3700x and 5220 was a pain to oc my ram, ex I managed to hit 3733/1866.5 15-15-15-28-42 with 1.425 v and 1.25 soc after hours of testing and the weird part is if i leave everything as is and just change the frequency to 3600 my pc won't boot, Go figure...
But from what you say now I'm triggered to update and write down all my ram settings on paper and give it another try.
Edit: I updated and oc me ram it works fine almost 1 hour test, now I'll try and push 3800 cl5 which was impossible with 5220.

1.25 soc? That's way too high. Your processor will boost better with lower soc.

I thought soc over 1.2v could or would corrupt your files.
Is the Soc voltage higher for the Zen2's compared to Zen+ cpu's?

Mine stays around 1.081 for a 3900x no modifications, just the XMP profile
