As an experiment a couple months back I replaced my M-Audio powered speakers in favor of an old set of Polk Audio bookshelf speakers (RTiA3's) I had laying around. I decided to drive them with a Lepai LP-168HA. Also hooked up a Polk Audio Subwoofer I had laying around (PSW-303).

I've been pleasantly surprised with this setup. Not the most luxurious amplifier, nor all that clean sound or powerful, but surprisingly fits my setup well.

Anybody else using something similar for driving conventional speakers from their PC?
