The Chimera Core i9 arrived today.

Out of the box already a great laptop. With the two CPU attached Intel 760p Series NVMe PCIe M.2 256GB SSD's in RAID0 the following speeds were made:

Thanks for sharing some test results.

What do you think about the fan noise at idle and at load from an end user perspective?

Have you undervolted the CPU? Any effects on heat and noise?*

I did not undervolt the CPU.

To me fan noise is on par with what I am doing on the Chimera. For normal work (mail, browsing, light video/photo editing etc.) Fan Overboost is at balanced and the fan noise does not bother me. Should try Silent. CPU temp around 45 to 50 Celsius. Once I push the notebook the fans spin but hey, it's a Core i9-8950HK and a GTX 1080 we're talking about.

Hey Gustave,

I just saw your posts. I just opened another thread, but maybe you can help me. To charge the G703GI, do I always have to plug in both of the PSUs, or could I just use one when I am on tour.

Kalorean, 1 is to run the laptop and the other one is just to charge the battery.
