AURA Lighting Service using high CPU resources

Running the latest version as of this post - I end up having to force quit the Lighting Service process, as it uses between 10-15% of the CPU resources. If I can't find a fix, I'm just going to uninstall and turn all the LED off, it's really not that important.

Anyone have a fix or ideas of what's going on? Thanks

Also, in previous version, I've been able to select the 'sync at shutdown' tab, and choose 'off'. When I do that now in the latest version and choose off, a different effect is applied.

All I want to do is turn off the LEDs when the system is off. I'm not able to do that now using Aura.

I did report there the same issues. and a little more.

in 10 days I will built another build , a friend new game pc, with a new itx am4 socket I will get the rest of the parts and redo the test with a modern board aside other issues

Is anyone else experiencing an issue where Asus lighting service prevents CPU to drop clock speed to idle? Only "Static", "Breathing" and "Color cycle" are working correctly and they let CPU to idle, all the rest will keep CPU clock speed maxed out all the time.

I can confirm Asus aura software and lightingservice.exe 'cause CPU around 10%~15% usage on my i9 9900K CPU, that's the reason why my HTC VIVE get gitter and gaming are not full speed, please fix this issue asap, right now I already uninstall Asus aura software, all the issue being solved.

I can confirm the excessive CPU usage for any choice in AURA that isn't either Static, Breathing or Color Cycle. Those settings use negligible CPU. However, Rainbow, Comet, Flash and Dash, Wave, Glowing Yoyo, Starry-Night, Strobing, SMART!, and Music all use approximately 10% CPU. This is some pretty poor performance, for just changing the color of a few LEDs, and should be fixed yesterday.

I am getting over 20% CPU Usage on my i5-9600k while using a static color.

I had the same problem , switching the profile from Armory create to static help..but switching back to anything cause it again...then i switched it back and back from Aura software and dissapear for now ...i will watch it ..
