Hi all I recently had a hard drive die and had to reinstall windows 10. My rampage IV extreme drivesand everything also had to be reinstalled, after everything back up and running my hard drives now show up in bottom right corner as an ejectable device. I know its something I did or didnt do in BIOs settings, can someone point me in the right direction to fix this... thanx in advance

Hi,

Go to the BIOS UEFI > Advanced Mode > Advanced tab > SATA Configuration :

- Find the SATA port for your HDD and set the Hot Plug to Disabled
- Save Changes & Reset

thanx for reply they are set to disable, but it still shows up as ejectable

In this case it is not a problem of BIOS UEFI configuration, but rather an OS problem which is the solution : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3083627/internal-sata-drives-show -up-as-removeable-media
