Question Bluetooth Drivers or disabling in BIOS

    Hi all,

I have the Crosshair VII wifi, and I get loads of errors in the event viewer about the Bluetooth not supporting low power mode. Is there a new driver anywhere near to release with full support for low power modes?

Alternatively I tried using a BT dongle and disabling the onboard BT, however even when you disable it (BIOS 0601) it still appears in the Device Manager, is this a bug or expected behaviour?

    Thanks

    John

I have upgraded to the new bios and it seems despite having the option, you are still unable to disable Bluetooth in the bios. Tried 702 and 804, both with the same result, you can disable wifi, but Bluetooth still pops up in Device manager.

Yeah setting to off in UEFI so far has had no effect for me either.

Disable it in device manager, does work for me on W7.

I'll check my event log. I use the drivers from Realtek site.

I don't have any errors in event viewer relating to Bluetooth, I do have an intermittent one regarding WiFi. Which I know the fix for. I checked after a resume from sleep as well.

I'm using the drivers from Realtek site on W7, the package also has W10 ones, link. I have to manually set bluetooth module from Generic Bluetooth Adapter to Realtek Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter. AFAIK W7 only supports 4.0, so on W10 you may see higher version on BT.

strangest thing, I downloaded the driver you suggested, went to install it and wouldnt you know the bluetooth is gone, the disable function seems to have kicked in?

Anyway, i'll keep an eye on it and now I have your suggestion of drivers to try if it reappears.

    Thanks
