Exclamation Bios is updating led firmware !!

hello guys, i'm in trouble with my crosshair vii.

the problems start with some bad shutdown after turning off windows. motherboard don't shutdown.

few days later when i turn on the pc i have this message "bios is updating led firmware, do not shutdown....", since i trried everything. Flash new bios 0702. clear cmos. remove bios battery. flashback recovery with bios 0207 and the other bios. nothing work.

i can boot to windows if i wait enough (1h) but if i reboot or turn off again the "bios is updating led firmware"

Maybe bios is corrupted? any idea?

    (sorry for my bad english)

    edit : my setup, windows 10 64 bit, 2700x, 16Go gskill

x470 Crosshair Hero (WIFI) Same issue LED Firmware Update Boot delay

    Same problem...
BIOS is updating LED firmware. Do not shut down or reset the system to prevent system bootup failure.
After 30 to 40 minutes System Boots.
Reinstalled latest Aura Lighting Software no change ;-(
Have reported issue to ASUS support so far no response...
    Reflashed BIOS no change..
Will add an image BIOS and LED info once I able to boot BIOS... what a pain..

This there a method similar the aura_update_v01_c6h LED FW flash tool for the X470 C7H LED FW?

If I was in your shoes I'd flash a very old UEFI using flashback. As this would contain older versions of ASUS EC/LED firmware, it should instigate a reflash of each; then I would flash to latest UEFI, again using flashback.

Can someone with this error run this tool (cmd or power shell as administrator), save their firmware and send it to me for debug?

    https://1drv.ms/u/s!Atmpv-6qHr_6o5VTCdY06POPk1JSBA

    aura82_update.exe -s myfw.bin

You can also try updating to this firmware: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Atmpv-6qHr_6o5VHvIdLs5KJpiPC8Q

Note: This is not any official procedure and is done at your own risk

No joy... ;-( LED EC2 Version Blank.....

My System still works fine once booted but No AURA Lighting Effects and takes 30 minutes to boot.

I'm going to arrange an RMA return to ASUS via my supplier. This is a pain as I live in a Regional area and the store I purchased the Motherboard is a fair distance away so if I wish to return the Motherboard I will need to take a whole day off to do so. I could arrange a courier or postal return but this will take several days. I'm also not happy about having to teardown my system to remove the Motherboard. Was updating to 1001 BIOS a big mistake... YES
Have now tried to downgrade BIOS to 0801 but no joy at all, the damage has been done... Also have tried the latest beta BIOS as a last ditch attempt.. ;-(

I continue to be plagued by this problem of a 30 minute wait to re-boot while the "LED firmware updating" message is displayed.

I disabled the Aura lights in the BIOS on the mobo since I am not interested in them. It occurred to me that perhaps I must have them enabled for the never ending firmware update to complete. However, it's a Catch-22 since I am never given an opportunity to access the BIOS via the "delete" key. One can't access the BIOS while this firmware update is running (or waiting, or whatever it is doing). After 30 minutes the mobo finally continues and boots the operating system.

Can someone suggest a way I can break into this cycle and access the BIOS? Perhaps by enabling the Aura lights, the firmware update will complete and I can rid myself of this annoying problem.
